Admissions Policy of Guangzhou College of Applied Science and Technology

1. Total Enrollment: 6,967 students (6,557 domestic; 410 international). 

2. New Programs: Four new majors added, including Smart Manufacturing Engineering and Digital Media Technology. 

3. International Education: Expanded Bachelor-Master integrated program (505 spots) covering Accounting, Computer Science, etc. 

4. Recruitment Provinces: 15 provinces (including newly added Shandong and Xinjiang). 

IV. Admission Rules

1: Admissions Mechanism & Principles

The university adheres to the "university responsibility and admissions office supervision" system stipulated by the Ministry of Education. It strictly complies with national/provincial admissions regulations, ensuring transparency, fairness, and justice. Admissions are primarily based on National College Entrance Examination (NCEE) scores, with comprehensive evaluation of academic performance, ethical conduct, physical fitness, and labor education for merit-based selection.

2: Category-Specific Admissions

Admissions are conducted in categories aligned with provincial admissions committees' control:

General Category: History Group, Physics Group

Arts & Sports Category: Fine Arts, Music, Broadcasting, Physical Education

3: Guangdong Province Academic Requirements

For undergraduate applicants in Guangdong, three General Academic Proficiency Test (GAPT) subjects corresponding to their selected NCEE subjects shall be passed. Specific requirements follow the latest guidelines issued by the Guangdong Provincial Education Examination Authority.

4: Parallel Volunteer Adjustments

In provinces implementing parallel volunteer file submission, the university may adjust enrollment plans and file retrieval ratios (≤105%) based on provincial rules and applicant quality.

5: Basic Admissions Eligibility

Candidates shall:

6.1 National Rule

V. Enrollment Procedures

1. Registration: Students must submit the Admission Notice, ID, and required documents by the deadline. 

2. Withdrawal: Voluntary withdrawal requires a written application; late withdrawal results in automatic forfeiture. 

3. Qualification review: Post-admission verification to disqualify fraudulent applicants. 

4. International Students: English proficiency (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent) required. 

VI. Financial Aid and Scholarships 

1. National Scholarships: Including National Scholarship and National Encouragement Scholarship.
